does anyone know where i can buy a kit to upgrade my engine to handle a turbo? Im talking about rods, and pistons, etc... I was jus wondering if anybody sells them in a package. Thx

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to be posting this ques in.

note just adding a turbo puts you ahead of any stock gst or gsx as long as you can drive

You dont NEED to rebuild your engine to handle a turbo, it will hold 8psi good.
But to handle more boost you will need to rebuild
Try : CI Motorsports
Slowboy Racing.
Howell Automotive <--- I hear that they can take a LOOOONG time to ship though

The factory internals will handle closer to 14psi or so. It is the 255hp+235cc+12:1 combo that limits you to ~8psi.

Thats good to know, I've heard alot of talk of 12psi, but I wasnt too sure on the sources. So like a Sfmu+330cc+255hp, could produce 12psi? Thats probably getting the fuel pressure pretty high, but not as high as a 12:1fmu with stock injectors

Just wondering, but do you know what you need for your build or do you have questions? I would hate for you to order everything and then find out you got the wrong parts or are missing something.

15psi, wow. Sweet, I was planning on running 10psi, sounds like I might bump it up a little.
I believe the OP got his hands on a turbo "kit" (a few of the major peieces at least) for cheap. So I was under the impression he was going to slap that turbo kit on and run around 7psi (from previous posts). In which that case he wouldnt need any internals.

i was runnig 11-12 psi on my silver car and that was my daily driver

yeah but your airs thinner :p

I'm hoping to run whatever my 330's and stock clutch will let me if I ever get the car reregistered and out to the track

It sounds like me and you (Corey) are in the same boat. I got 330's sfmu and stock clutch. Starting on finishing the install this weekend. So it sounds like 11/12psi daily and 14psi on the needed occasion.
