I don't get piston slap with wiseco's but i did with je's. je's sounded like a diesel on a cold start. Also wiseco's skirt is coated so it should wear less. Other than that they're pretty much the same.

+1 you cant go wrong on either pistons, i own Wiescos and my friend owns JE i think there both good pistons, ive seen his go through 2 piston slaps when his timing belt jumped 2 times and he still has the same JE pistons in the car going like a champ.
Of course he has stock valves is what saved his pistons from crumbling.

i have Wiescos and they are great . Yet the questin that should be asked is what compression are you planing 8.1 ,12.1 i have 8.1 and they came coated

I had both, The JE had piston slap and with the Wiescos never had a probblem..

i plan on using it for daily driving but also the occasional race. not a hard core race car

Well do you plan on turbo'ing or going n/a? Thats pretty much how you decide, n/a you want higher compression, turbo you want lower compression.

I went thru 2 sets of JE's and melted switched over to wiseco and not had a problem, the melted pistons was probably due o my inexperience of tuning and not the piston brands, but just thought I let you know
