2G-specific brake conversions.

Okay, let me start by saying that I have looked through the forums, and I just can't really seem to find the answer to my question. I might have looked over it, but forgive me if I did.

I was wondering if there are any brakes that will fit onto a 2g without MAJOR hassle. I understand some modification will have to be made and I'm prepared for that. I'm just looking to upgrade, maybe the EVO brakes or a 3000 will have something to fit?

Thank You.

Read through the handling forum.

You can use brakes from a GSX, 3/S, or Diamante as an easy upgrade. Evo brakes would be a simple swap, if you can get a hold of a pair of JDM knuckles. You can use Mustang brakes, and many, many other brake setups as well, but many require brackets to be fabricated to locate the caliper.

Then there are the aftermarket brake upgrades offered by many of our Supporting Vendors.

So the EVO set-up really wouldn't be that big of a hassle?
The only reason I ask about that one specifically is because they come with the brembo set-up. Thank you so much for the advice. I'm going to start looking around to see what I can get my hands on, and what each conversion would require.

Its not that hard but you need to find someone in japan to send you the 1999 JDM Galant front knuckles and they cost about $500. You will also need the evo calipers and rotors which aren't cheap unless you get lucky and find someone parting out a wrecked EVO or something.

The labour is easy, and as synthetek pointed out, sourcing the knuckles is a hassle.

Oh. Yes I see. Well I found a Baer kit that I was looking at, and for the prices of the conversion, I'm better off getting the aftermarket kit. Thanks for the help guys.
