Looking at prothanes ( Yes, I searched)

My OEM mounts are torn to hell so I am going to purchase the prothane inserts, and hopefully reduce this horrible wheel hop I have. I was wondering where everyone is buying their's from? I searched and found only one thread talking about SBR selling them for like 90$, but I could swear they are cheaper than that somewhere else. Where are you guys getting them? I looked on Ebay, but the one thing I'm wondering is if the mounts for the 420A are different than the 4g63. Or to maybe phrase it better, do they use the same prothane mount kit? I know that many of the vendors on ebay don't know the difference between the 2 motors and they assume they are the same. I found a set on ebay that just says "95-99 Eclipse Talon Prothane Motor &Trans Mount 13-1901" and inside says it will fit turbo and non turbo but I want to make sure before I buy them. I see there are a lot of threads on how to install them and it doesn't look to hard.

On a side note, the 420A does not have a balance shaft does it? If it does, then where can I find an elimination kit for it.

420a and 4g63 mounts are not interchangeable. See our Supporting Vendors for purchasing urethane mounts. http://www.dsmtuners.com/links/browselinks.php?c=2 A couple of those guys sell what you are looking for.

No balance shafts for the 420a.

That was the fastest 1am response ever. I have no problem supporting the site vendors, just looking through all of them is a pain . Do you happen to know the part number by chance? Im about a 1/4 of the way down the list and so far have only found 1 vendor with them ( http://www.dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=262&cat=&page=3) but they are for the turbo i believe. Let me know if pming you is a better way to go about this as I don't want to violate any rules. 9Hope this isn't violating one of them)

You haven't seen my mounts , I'm not sure how they are even holding anything up. Also on the support under the the car ( big black one I don't know the name of) The front bolts are cross threaded so they aren't holding the support tight... I have no experience in breaking bolts and re-tapping holes. Any tips on that? When I did my timing belt I dropped that support stupidly and managed to cross thread the bolts . I'm a fail but I'm learning..

Look on eBay. I'm planning on installing prothanes as well and I searched it up on eBay. They have them for like $70 shipped I think.

13-1901 is what you want. So if you see that as an option get it cause that is the correct kit. I got mine on ebay off a guy with the actual mount used but barely for like 70 shipped so don't get to crazy with mounts they can be had around 70 without mounts usualy and 100 with.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ill be shopping around, 20$ difference really isn't that much I guess, I was thinking 90$ was almost twice the normal cost. Im looking at the ones Locke posted because helping the site vendors is better than funding an ebay company, plus I'm sure they have better customer service and such.

I never call teh vendors anyway it's a waste of time you get the run around when you can just come on here and get your answer yourself in half the time. You can spend your money where ever you like that's yoru choice but paying more for the same quality product hell the same product just doesn't seem to make sense to me. Those comapnies aren't gonna spend more money if they don't have to on you.

Please review all vendors before purchasing. That way you are all the wiser and won't have to give them a bad rep due to unexpected delays.
