Hey guys...

i new here and i have a 98 avenger (420a)
and i bought the cheap ebay headers like a year ago, and now I have a problem...with my flex pipe at the bottom of my headers, ever since i was lowered and didn't have any hangers for the hi-flow cat, my flex pipe has hit the ground a million times, and now it has like 3 holes in it...do i really need it? can't i just cut it out and put a pipe with clamps there?

thanks guys

You will put stress on your headers from the rest of the exhaust system. The rest of the exhaust has a huge torque arm to put force on your headers, the flex system isolates that and keeps problems from happening. Why not get another flex system and properly suspend your cat?
