exhaust confused

ok say a get a greddy cat back exhaust and a year from now get a turbo kit will the exhaust still work or do i have to get a catback exhaust for a gst?

cat back for a 2g gs/rs is the same shape as a cat back on a gst, but not a gsx. So if you are going to go turbo, get a 3" cat back made for a gst.

would it be pointless to put a 3 inch exhaust on now or not

Well, on an N/A car, you'd prolly lose some low end power for street driving, should help your top end a bit....I say get it. Its not hurting anything and your exhaust wil be ready for the boost when it comes.
