I am going to be buying a turbo kit, and want to build the engine first. I am going to be buying new rods and pistons, i decided on je pistons and am not sure on the rods, I have a 97 eclipse and i was looking at the Eagle rods. Has anyone heard anything about them? Any feedback would be great, thanks

I am having an engine built by Howell Automotive with JE 8.6:1 compression pistons and Eagle rods as we speak. From what I have heard is that they are good especially for the price. $600+ for a set of Crower rods vs. $350 for the Eagle rods, I would definitely go for the Eagle rods. I have heard they can handle 400+ hp, which is plenty for a street application.

If you have not already, go to Howell Automotive.com and check out their site. They sell a complete bottom end kit with the JE pistons and Eagle rods etc for $1099.
