2.2L turbo stroker 420A

Just got my loan approved today and have a check for $4000. I am ordering a bottom end from Howell Automotive with a stroker crank, JE 8.6 comp. pistons, Eagle forged rods etc. I am also having some mild headwork done. Larger injectors from HRC should be on the way soon too as wel as some other misc goodies.. 2.2L of turbo fury!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!. When I get it in I will most definitely take it to the track and post some times.

If you really dont care....just tell me to piss off.......I am just so excited.


Has anyone else put in a stroker and turboed it?

i believe you are the first that I know of with the howell stroker block period. Just be careful though, when you get it, if you have any problems with it, make sure you call howelll right off the bat because a guy over at 2GNT got one of the blocks and there werent any serious problems, but if he had called howelll as soon as he discovered the probs it would have made life easier.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know what kind of things were wrong with the engine ? I am glad it was nothing major, that puts my mind at ease. It would really suck if something was wrong especially after spending all that money.

How high you think you gonna be boosting when its said and done?

I will most definately post some times after I get the car done. As far as boost, I am thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-17 psi on street and pump gas and 20+ at the track with race gas. I need to get an upgraded ignition system also before I do that. Anyone have a suggestion on a good ignition system that works on our cars? I will talk to Howell about my setup and see what kind of boost they would run, to get a good feel.

Do me a favor, when it's done, find a mustang cobra and kill it.. a real cocky one tried to race me tonight and thought he was the #$@$@! bd1000Eclipse, I will make sure the first Cobra Crustang I kill will be dedicated to you! Hopefully the car will be much faster, even tho it's driver sucks ( at the track ) but I am sure on the street I will kill many cars, escpecially from a roll.

I cant sleep at night just thinking about it. Payment was sent off Fri to Howell. The post office says it should be there by 3:00 Sun guaranteed. So I figure that Howell will get it on Mon for sure. HOPEFULLY they will get started on it right away. Meanwhile I will be getting all of my other parts bought and ripping my engine out. Hopefully that will keep me busy enough for the next 2 months. Maybe I will polich some parts to pass the time. SUCKS TO BE ME! Not really

bd1000Ecplise, I am not sure what cost of shipping is going to be to my house. BUT I really dont care because I am actually driving my head and picking up the new engine when its done. Howell is about 2hrs 45 mins away from my house, so it will be a nice little road trip, but it will save me some money.
