What is the estimated performance gain of putting a jeep 60mm throttle body on? anyone know? What about with a ported manifold also?

uh, that would be me. Im running the Jeep TB. My best of 15.71 was reduced to a 15.46 and the only difference between the two runs was I put the 14's up front and took out the passenger seat, which was a waste of time. The results speak for themselves IMO. Let me know if you have any ?'s

IMO= in my opinion

You can get it off of any Jeep with the 4.0L Inline 6 automatic (5-speeds are 55mm) I got the one on my car off of a 93 Jeep Cherokee

Does anyone have a hp number? And is ported your intake manifold help all that much or should it defintaly be done if you put the bigger TB on? Thanks for the answer though tuffrs.

porting the manifold will definitely help it will allow your engine to suck in more air, the least you could do is polish the runners. I dont know if you have seen the inside of them, but they are quite bumpy and even if you were to just smooth them out it would make a nice difference. Plus I would definitely make the opening to the manifold large enough to match the size of the jeep TB, otherwise you will stilll have a 55mm bottleneck. Here is a pic of the set up on my car.

Do the throttle bodies from the Jeep bolt on without any modification? Also, do you think that a throttle body off a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L High Output with an auto transmission will work?

I have a friend with a spare one lying around and if it will work I will use it fo sho!

read this, this is how one of the guys over at 2GNT went about modifying his setup, so it is quite involed. It will not just bolt right up.

yes i am selling these set ups. Prices are:

If you provide the upper intake manifold, jeep TB, and stock TB $100
If you provide just your stock upper manifold and TB, 175
If we have to proved everything you will be charged 175 plus a 100 dollar core charge so that is 275, once we receive your stock manifold and TB we will refund you the core charge.

We include the modified manifold which is ported to 60mm so it matches the size of the TB, we also polish the jeep TB so it is nice and chrome like when clean, mine is dirty in the pic, but it still shines. We also include a new manifold and TB gaskets.

sweet. how long does it normally take to get? and is there anymore mods that i would have to do or would that be everything?

well I would suggest that you atleast have an aftermarket intake because the stock intake will not fit over the opening of the TB. Turnaround time has been about 2 weeks, give or take a few days.

yeah my partner in this all, who is a chrysler tech, has an AEM CAI and it fit without any probs, same for my cheapo ebay intake. If you wanna order it let me know

alright. i'll probobly do it income tax time. right now im trying to buy a set of 18's off a dude here, and i've already promised him that i would buy them. so if i dont have it by the middle of the month, i will definatly do it in jan. ive heard nothing but good comments about these and i hope to see a differance in my gs. im also planning to port and polish my head, and ive heard that with the intake being ported too that i will notice huge gains there. im hoping for the best. thanks alot man
