what to do with insurance check

ok a week ago someone broke my passenger side window messed up the trim somewhat and scrathed the paint on the door and a few other odds and ends. i also found some new stuff that was there before but told them about it there is a performance shop near by and im gonna have them do the work i wanna fix the outter trim maybe the stratch. the check was $1324.24 im gonna see if i can get some cold air intake, headers, type 2 mufflar and a short throw shifter and any thing that i can do with the money thats left thats what im hopeing for.

the punks tried to get my kenwood cd player but since i use the stock mount it was bolted to the car but the still trashed it so the insurance is sending a check for it too. i hope it aint included in the above amount if so ill just throw in a pioneer cd player that was in my wifes talon. and save up for an eclipes double din touch screen dvd player



what else can i get if there is enough money left over.

Here are some prices off the top of my head, i put ranges b/c of differnt prices and the fluxuating market :laugh:

cai - $50-150
Header - $100-250
Hi Flow Cat $35
Cat Back $200-350
udp $140
p&p im - $100-250
57mm tb- $50-100

Before you get anythign decide your goals, you could save that bit and save up for a turbo kit ...in which case you would not be able to use: cai, header.

it might be hard to save it since my insurance check has my name and the banks name. but im gonna tell the bank im gonna do the work my self and try to get the check released to me.

after you fix the window and the paint, you shoud have at least a grand left.... put it in an ornge savings accout, your 1/3 of the way to a brand new turbo kit, pluse you can check on e bay and find really good deals... i did similar.. and just kept my eyes open, found a brand new star stage 2 kit on e bay for 1,200 bucks never installed pluse if you pm me i can give you the guys info he says he has more kits for the same price

well went back to the bank asked the guy i go through with my loans told him i was gonna fix it myself and he signed the check to me so now i have in cash all that money. so now im gonna save and untill summer of next year and work on my car.

anyways, if i were you, with $1000, id save up another $1000 and buy a stage one turbo kit. then later you can always get an intercooler. or buy a nitrous kit and get some basic bolt ons to go with it.

so what is the differance between a stage 1 and stage 2. i will just save up my money and see what i got. i dont really plan on fixing the car since it aint really that bad just some trim parts i can get some off a car that you are all are parting out or something. so really im starting with $1324

honestly the difference between a stage 1 and stage 2 turbo kit is HORSE POWER >=^) bwhahahahaa ( evil laughf) pretty much the difference is an intercooler, which cools the air from the turbo giving you more horespower
and to answer chris's question.... its in the mail commin to my house hehehee i got another e mail from him today, and it should be here anyday, and like i said its a complete star stage 2 never installed, and probable stolden but its all good coz i payed for it and like i said before hes still got 2 more dont wanna get your post closed for selling stuff so pm me if u want to know more and ill hook you up

i cant see why you would want a gsx put a stage 2 kit on your 420a and you will be faster then a gsx and weight about 200 lbs less pluse it cheeper on the insurance, why buy 2 turbos when all you need is one

Yeah, that's not a bad deal until those 6 months are over and no more checks. I was thinking it wouldn't be such a bad time to become unemployed and get those checks for 6months and snowboard every other day.
Also, I just paid for a HDTV that will be at my house come Sunday so I have that area covered
