98 Esi, automatic..when to spray?

im getting a NX wet kit for my 98 Auto Talon ESi soon, and just wondering when i should spray at?

1st if you can grab traction, 2nd is ok, 3rd if above 3500ish, never in 4th.....

hmmm never in forth... i never heard that...

NOTE TO SELF: Car shuts off when spraying in 4th, after spraying through gears 1-3, good chance of dying.

haha the earlier you spray the bigger the boost you will feel is. oh and above was sort of a joke but still serious. i never heard that 4th gear rule, and well i almost died... literally.

sorry but it was a once in a life time chance and i couldnt pass it up. i havnt been to the track yet, according to dsmjim my nitrous install wont pass tech inspection, i gotta change some stuff first. im hoping to get a day in before it closes for the winter, but it is really hard with football and work.

EDIT: THe reason i said not in 4th is becuase he is an a604 tranny, 4th gear is their final and never ending gear or did i just cofuse you

is there any 2gnt's on this site that have nitrous and ran at the track? or at least any people who have talked to people that have ran a 2gnt at the track with nitrous?? curious about this topic. not trying to jack the thread.

there was a guy on here, darkracer06 that was runnin a 55 shot of zex and he pulled a 14.6 i believe. another guy on here was sprayin a 100 shot on a rebuilt bottom end and hit a high 13

thats a pretty respectable time, for a n/t what other mods did he have on that?? im assuming I/H/E and possibly udp??? anything else? good topic for those of us 2gnt cant afford a turbo but want low time slips. let me know thanks.

:laugh: i laugh at your ignorance. barely half my posts. yea i did get a little confused, i had never heard that before. but that would make sense. although the lower the gears the safer it is to spray, less load on your internals.
