WHat brand and model clutch are u using? how many miles have u had it? have u had any problems? im thinking about the centerforce dual friction clutch for my ride. what are your thoughts and opinions on centerforce and other clutches u might have had or currently have on ur 420a eclipse?? whats the approx. break in mileage for a new clutch?

Mr 95 there might have the non-modular (or traditional) clutch imo. AS for the rest of us, it's all once piece and you can slide one off and the other on in seconds. I have a PTCruiser clutch in Daisy. It's held up just fine for over 18,000 miles. The price was pretty cheap and it's more than adequate until the boost comes on in a few months. A good option for anyone under 220hp who needs a clutch imo.

I am currently using a centerforce clutch in my eclipse. It is an easy clutch to install since it comes in one piece. I really couldn't find any other companies that made a clutch for the N/T's. Centerforce says the clutch pack is 90% over stock and has a soft pedel. I would have to agree with that since my pedal is light and the clutch really grabs.

I own the Spec Stage IV clutch. I like it. I also bought the matching aluminum flywheel for 400 more. If you have high horsepower needs or want a lightened flywheel then Spec is a good one to go with. It is not a one piece design which enables aftermarket flywheels, pretty nifty IMO. Ive been very happy with mine and they seem to have local dealers all over the place. Check em out ...

I went with the stage 4 as to not take any chances ... but its still light on the pedal as well and clamps down like a mofo when you dump it. This also makes it easier to stall out but its still all worth it.

hey ravager.......have u had any problems with the spec stage IV????

No it works great. Its fairly easy on the pedal and grabs great when you dump it. It does however have a light chattering noise when idling but other than that I have no issues.

I only had a problem after I ordered because I was not sent any bolts for the flywheel when I purchased the clutch from Spec, when I called them they assured me I would not need new bolts. But if I had used my old bolts then they would have only been able to grab onto 2 or 3 threads on the bolts and somehow that did not seem safe. The aluminum flywheel they provide is a tad bit thicker than the stock one which creates the problem. So if you are thinking of going with Spec, you may ask them beforehand if you will need bolts and if they do not provide them I can sell my extras to you. We had to buy them in bulk so Ive got like 10+ laying around here. You will need 8. I can sell these to you if need be.

Id heard iffy reports about the ACT and the Clutchmaster's which is the only reason I decided to try a different company all together. Figured I had a better chance and like I said I have been very happy with the clutch and flywheel.

Let me know if you need the bolts.
