are cam shafts worth it, what's the cheapest and how much HP will I gain?

HELL YES cams are worth their money. They are a huge gain, but install them at the right time so you will get the most benefit. Do your basic mods before you install cams, don't let it be your first mod. Have fun & YES YOU WILL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE

Hp depends on your mods, i have seen cams go on cars and make a rediculous improvement. If i had to guess, on a semi-modified car (i/h/e/tb/intake manifold) i would say it could give a 20hp benefit or so.
