ok here is the deal.......

my 1990 laser is getting close to being done, i just received my 2g MAF in the mail and the vfaq website says i will need bigger injectors (550 reccomended) but it seems like they are reffering to turbo 1g engines, my question is will i need bigger injectors with my non turbo 1g? or is there other steps i need to take to properly install the 2g MAF? this may seem a bit silly but im thinking a 2g MAF would work great with the stock 2G injectors.....right?......which brings up these questions........how big are stock injectors in a 90 laser w/2.0 non turbo? and what size should i upgrade to if at all :laser:

The reason they say that is that it will allow a turbo charged vehicle to flow so much air that it will require 550 cc injectors to compensate. Also, you can't run a 2G MAF without some kind of fuel management in a turbo charged vehicle. As for your n/a car the only thing I can tell you is that you don't need a 2g maf. You will never flow enough air to utilize the larger diameter of the 2g MAF. Don't worry about the bigger injectors. You won't need them. Your stock 240cc one's will do the job fine. I'm not aware of anyone doing this to a 1g n/a so I'm not sure if you will need some kind of fuel management computer to get it to idle properly. Most 1g n/a folks don't consider this a worthwhile mod and leave it alone. If you get any performance improvements out of it, please let us know.
