AM exaust question

i have a 98 rs and wish to install an aftermarket exaust. I purchased a Tenzo R muffler and brought it to my local shop to have it installed. they told me that because of the angle the stock pipe enters the stock muffler, the Tenzo R muffler would not be able to hold a weld and would fall off. so they told me to go to midas and have them bend me a new pipe that comes over my axle and would enter the muffler. now my question is: 1) if i should go to midas should i get a pipe from the cat-back or i saw a connector right before the muffler should i get the pipe from there. 2) or should i just buy a complete cat-back exaust system and if so what are some good brands/modelsand what are there prices.

first, definatly go catback, it will give you more power. i just went to a small exaust shop down in chicago and had them custom fab me a cat back system with 2.5" piping and a magnaflow muffler. it was pretty cheap too. $325 installed. most aftermarket name brand systems are upward of $450. i would just go to a local exaust shop instead of buying a name brand kit. but if midas will do it then do that, youll save some $$$

sounds good a 2.5 inch piping would be nice thanks ill keep it updated. right now i have a cracked head in my 420a so im swapping in a lower milage 420a. after that im gonna get that exaust put in.
