OBX power pulleys?

I am about to buy OBX racing power pulley's for my 95 talon esi. Is this a good mod? Has anyone done it? What results should I expect?

Might wanna look into a AF/X underdrive pully. I'm about to pick those up pretty soon, cant go wrong with whats been proven to be good. I heard good and bad about OBX products.

What is it.... 10 hp gain maybe, but AC will suffer a little. Good upgrade

i have the af/x one installed, great gain in accleration, i would recomend it 100x's over the obx one... the af/x is 150$ shipped w/ belts needed from howellautomotive.

I wouldn't doubt a 10hp again altho i have had a dyno since, also i dunno about the a/c suffering becuase i run it sometimes cuz i live in Miami n it gets damn hot around here, but i have not noticed it suffering

LoL I hear ya yo. Couple of days ago it hit that dry 90 and me and my black were baking. Had to put the windows up and blast the AC at every stoplight. I've got around the same question i'm installing the Af/x UDP in a couple days. Like I did with the Cam Gears I'm not trying to have two things installed seperatly when I can do it at the same time.

i have the afx udp and it was the best mod ive done since the intake. i got it on special from howell auto... with the belts for 110.all the accsesories work fine and even the alternator charges 13.5 or 13.1 just like before.ac cools fine. great easy mod with the right tools.

I've never come across any. You go to any of the South FLA meets? There's one in Hialeah (At a Denny's or somethin) and another in Davie (towers). But your the first I've come across... You wont be alone for very much longer though dog. BTW If your planning on putting these overdrive pulley's on, dont expect a Af/x UDP to work with the belts this kit comes with and vice versa. Glad I asked DougRS first.

towes = ### , we started these meets in pines (which got tooo big tooo fast) n the place we were holding it at (old albertson's on pines blvd.) has a new shop there (sedanos) so we r tryin to find a new spot. I have never seen the denny's one, which denny's is it at?

Wow we're off topic. Cant wait for the mod or mod-wanna be to get on us. But I'm not sure where this Denny's is. All I know is that it's in Hialeah somewhere. It started as a club's weekly meet up spot, then they extended it to all South FLA DSM drivers. Sedanos...Your talking about the one by the Kmart, down the street from Pembroke Lakes mall. Thats like 5-10 minutes away from my crib. I've never actually met a REAL N/T tuner before. Mostly their punk kids just trying to make thier car look as much like the TFATF Eclipse Paul Walker drove in the 1st movie . Wanna meet up Maimieclipse and Interceptor (I know Miamieclipse lives in the Lakes, but you just have Miami. That can mean anywhere from Carol City to Coral Gables)? Oh BTW got my UDP on. Not a huge difference but a noticable one. I'm sure the increase would be complimented with a set of overdrive pulleys, if Af/x would go a head and start mass producing a kit thats compatible with their UDP. I also installed some NGK Iridium plugs and a D.U.I Ignition Coil (Screamin' Demon) that helped too. The car even feels and sounds smoother moving through the RPMs.

we tried it @ sedano's & IT WORKED a couple of times, not since sedano's has opened tho. Can't do it in the far parking lot of Regal cuz well they r ### ...Can't do it at the home depot on Miramar either......where is there an empty space?

Lawdaman, what we should try n do is organize a meet, charge an entrance (and wit the money we get from the entrance get a couple of big ass mofo's n call them security ). Cops would still be an issue tho, but the security would take care of issues most meets have (ie littering, burnouts, revving while parked for no apparent reason etc etc) We'll talk later cause im at work...shh

LoL Dog I'm at work too... But I dont know about the entrance fee for a parking lot full of mostly wannabe-racer-boys. Street Legal over there by the Golden Glades interchange charges to get in their parking lot on Sat nights... I REFUSE to pay $5.00 to sit around in a parking lot... I want to sit around for free... But there are those out there who would pay... heh, I already got a big guy lined up for the job. We call him the 500lb Gorilla. All we'd need is someone who OWNS a store and has right to parking lot. If we get their permission, the cops cant touch us... I think.

Street Legal Import CLOSED , so yea if u have the guy lined up what we would need is a owner's written consent....that should take care of the cops....but now we need a parking lot and u kno the owner is gonna say "Whats in it for me?"

I would say the parking lot infront of Steak n' Shake off of Hiatus and Pines. We'd be pulling in gauranteed business esp since their open 24hrs. But seeing it's a chain-resteraunt we'd probably have to go through the Regional Manager . We'd have to be legit. I mean really. I doubt we'd be able to charge people to get in because it's an open business. We'd have to meet later in the night on a certain night (lets say Saturdays @ 9pm) when their customer flow slows down. To make it short we'd have to turn it into another Towers (how it was on Sat's two-three years ago before the racer-boy crowd all hopped up on TFATF, screwed all it up with the cops.) and that takes time to become settled and known. We'd probably be in charge of keeping the place clean... Lotta crap. More responsibility on top of the Car Club I'm currently building LoL

the one in hialeah is called DSM RACING, and they're a bunch of cubans that get together and supe the shit outta their cars. those shits are fast, and when you see them on the street, they're impressive and intimidating, they drive slowly in a single file line. has anyone seen that show SpeedLogic on Mun2??? they were actually featured there once on the show... and they raced a honda team, and the clipses hoared them. they have a website... however, i dont recall what it is. and yes they always meet at the same denny's, im surprised they havent been busted yet.

And as long as they stay stationed in Hialeah, I doubt the cops down here will mess with them... From what I've seen of their cars I'm sure their all GS-T's and GSX's. u'd be accepted, but you wouldnt understand wtf they're sayin and you would be lost half the time as well. no, they have plenty of rs's and a few gs's. however, they usually turbo the rs's and gs's, not many of them are all motor. yes, Mun2 is the second channel to telemundo, im actually surprised you would know about an hispanic station.

Well dog, I have LIVED in Miami most of my life(mainly Opalocka-Hialead until I was 4 then North Miami Beach and Carol City until I was 13). If you dont know what Telemundo is... Well your not that...Sharp. Even just flipping past it should make you aware of it's existance. And no no no yo, I was kidding. I wasnt looking to get into their club, I'm in the process of building my own club (coming along fairly well). I'm not planning on staying all motor anyway. By this time next year my baby WILL be turbo-charged if not rebuilt along with the system. Atleast I know where to go hunting once my work is done.
