Recently my 420a n/t engine died on me. I have been told it has piston slap on nmber 3 or something to that extent. So I am going to have to do a rebuild. I have searched the forum but most people do a rebuild to turbo it (maybe someday, but not now.) So I am in need of suggestions on what would be the easiest and cheapest way to rebuild.
I could either get a 420a shortblock or maybe just the rods and pistons.
As you can probably tell i really dont completly understand all of this, but i am getting there
Thanks in advance
edit: --what you have is oil ring failure that caused the piston rings to self destruct and now your pistons literally wiggle inside the cylider
--i was able to wiggle #2 and #3 at TDC (top dead center... at the top of the block
--not sure if the block is warped (the cylinder wall... the tubes the pistons move in are oval shaped)
I was just told this
