Resolved 420A rear main seal...

How long do u guys think it will take to replace a rear main seal if i did it myself? i've never done one but i'm willing to try....any pointers or anything let me know....help please!!

I'm interested too. My oil is leaking bad. The chiltons manual doesn't even provide pictures.

You have to pull the transmission and flywheel. May as well do a clutch at the same time.

About how long does this take? Possibly all day? i believe i might try it...we'll see

when i blew that seal on my 97 saturn it took the shop 9 hours to do it. would have, plus the 1300 or so they wanted for the new tranny brought total price to about 2600$!!! thank god it was under warranty and only cost me about 450$. do it yer self, since the seal aint that much.

it'll take you all day. If you know what your doing. Other wise itll take longer
