:dsm: It has been a constant battle over the double-edged sword of turbos. I recently had been toying with going turbo from hahns for awhile until i got into drifting and auto-xing. The real racing that goes on in the tight corners, steep downhills and fast sweeping turns has brought me to a decision to stick with a non-turbo and work it as much as possible. The turbo's which are without a doubt a weapon on the straights are a big draw back up here in the northeast where there's nothing but windy mountain roads and some unsupervised small drags. The highways are pretty much run-down with state troopers. My reason for writing this is the fact that my car now pushing a little over 200 hp is suprisingly a monster. I just wanted to tell the n/a dsm'rs out there that a well balanced n/a, in everything except a drag, which only proves who has more money, can out perform the turbo hands down. :thumb:

Umm... My GSX (AWD) handles better than my GS (FWD)... just a thought...

I guess I don't understand what he means by 3000gt interchangeable motor parts. since the engine in his eclipse isn't even made by the same company as the 3kgt motor, how would anything be interchangeable?

you'd be surprised how quik the spool up is on a small turbo. that way would be alot cheaper than completely re-building your motor to handle 200+whp w/o boost. also another thing is that turbo cars arent as affected by changes in height (you're talking mountains here i guess) and they'll be alot better when it comes to making it down that straightaway as well.

thats exactly my point. its complete bs imo:dsm:

Hey buddy no matter what mods you THINK you have... you are NO WHERE NEAR 200hp. I have just about all the bolt ons MINUS cams and i even have hi-comp and im probably not even 180chp. I was gonna say more but i don't want someone to consider it a "personal attack" so i will leave it at that.. this site isn't my favorite by far, but i like educating the noobs here, so i choose not to get banned.

WTF, you got to be kidding me

I'm putting this one in a bucket and sprinkling it on the petunia bed.

Should give lovely blooms by spring.
