intake manifolds?

I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of intake manifold would be best for my 2g if any. It's a 420a but I have a mad leak in the gasket on mine so I figure if i am goin to change the gasket I might as well do the whole thing right then and there..

There are some good ones out there, but my fav is the Venom Intake Manifold. My friend has one on his DSM Nt, and it just kicks so much ass. add a 60mm throttle body and man can you hear that sucker sucking in some air. plus you can get them in Red, Blue or Polished www.venom-performance.com the thing is they are not cheap but you get what you pay for. They are worth the $ you spend on them just do me one favor when you order or email them with questions tell them Ty McBride

There is the Venom manifold.

Some ppl have had problems, some haven't.

Yes I agree with top_end95, but as with anything aftermarket there are going to be some problems, as no 2 motors are the same. Hey top_end95. What problems have you heard of with the venom intakes, i would like to know so i know what to look for when i install it thanks

The one thing I remember clearly from some of the guys was that it wouldn't line up with the holes on the head correctly, resulting in drilling new holes for it to bolt on.

Another which isn't as clear, something about the MAP sensor had to be welded on to the Venom or tapped to recieve the sensor. Along with that was the vacuum lines would not fit, resulting in re-tapping I believe.

I know these aren't the best descriptions but Im trying to remember from over a year ago when I still had my 2gnt.

personally i am just going to have my ported and polished, and add on a 58mm TB. The Venom may be considered overkill with a 60mm TB if your NOT turbo, but if your going turbo . Otherwise there is no need to spend all that money on something that won't really give you any extra power just better throttle response.

That is true, the Venom Intake Manifold was a present from my girlfriends dad. which is is weird concidering he is a old muscle car freak and hates imports. Maybe thats the reason he got it for me. To much OVERKILL
