are the gaskets for the oil pump required or can i just use high temp silicone? no one in town has the gasket.. i need to special order it but dont have alot of time, so i need it now..

Oil should be used around the seal before installation correct? like I said all new gaskets where used but it's hard to belive it came bad from the factory.not to hijack this thread or anything, but I have a new rebuild with a new front case / pump & new oil filter housing, new gaskets used everywhere all with proper torque specs and for some reason I have a small oil leak what appears to be the front case crakshaft seal, only when running and when the oil gets warm..
