I believe most people would prefer getting the adjustable Tokico Illuminas over the regular HPs. I myself bought something similar to that, the Tokico Advanced Handling Suspension Kit, which came with the Illuminas and I believe the same springs...I couldn't be happier!
All just depends on if you want to spend that little bit of extra money I guess, IMO it is very worth it.
As for the slicks and the tranny, I haven't gotten that far yet with my baby, so I'll have to let someone with a little more knowledge help ya out in that area. Good luck
