Hey guys,

Im thinking about getting summit racing seats. I realised that they are a little tall for our cars (2g) (37.5 inches tall). Does anyone else have summit racing seats or seats that measured to be too tall but fit fine? :( WTF

or..could someone please tell me the dementions of your racing seats (any brand) and how they fit...thanks for all of the help!!

there are the seats btw...

Thanks,
Brian

I've got R1 Seats. I love me. Very comfortable, fits nice (before the roll cage), and made extreemly well. My buddy has a set of those $250 shipped seats off ebay... they rock too. Very comfortable, but a little wobbly. If you want good seats, your going to spend more money. I'm going to be getting a set of Sparco Fighter2 seats sometime this year.

haha nice snoopy...

may i ask what is the hieght of ur seats? i dont have a spyder, just a normal gs, and 37.5 inches tall isnt gonna cut it ROFL WTF :nono:

I love me... wow...

I really don't know how tall my seats are... I'm sure you could find the dimensions online somewhere... I'm just to lazy to look. Height is going to matter with the bracket too. If the seat is too tall you always could make your own.

nice...

BTW what is an acceptanle measurement from the top of the seat to the roof?
Im now looking at Ralliart 3 seats which are 35 inches tall. Ya I put into mind the brakets, but you gotta remember, im not gonna be driving like I have a stick up my ass, so Im gonna recline them a bit. I dont want them to look to high :(

and what are the dimensions of our seats? i would measure but i dont know where to measure from

measure from the lowest part on the seat to the highest point on the seat. But, it may be hard to get an accurate measurement with the seat mounted in the car.

ok...but im still wondering what is an acceptanle measurement from the top of the seat to the roof? i measured 35 inches from the floor and there is about 4-5 maybe 6 inches to the roof. With the brackets installed, should it be ok to look right and not to high?

That probably refers to the height of the seat bottom in relation to the floor, and the lovely DSM trait which means that near-terminal anorexics can hardly get their thighs under the bottom of the steering wheel.

hahahahahahahah ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL
I have that problem everytime i step into my car haha...im 6 foot 2, and only 15 years old, so down the road when I grow some more, itll be even MORE of a problem LOL. I think 35 inches high is a good hieght for a seat, no?

*edit: im 16...havent gotten into the swing of saying im 16....its my birthday today LOL*

If you want i could take a pic about noon tomorrow and post it with some measurements on my seats so you could see the clearance, im at home now and car is at my shop or i would run and do it now...

Man guys, busy busy day here at the car lot so I didn't get the pics and all by noon like I said but here they are 3 hours late!

bottom of back of seat to top of back was 34 inches
Brackets i made were 1 3/4
from bottom of slider to top of seat was 37, so with the brackets 38 3/4
Across the shoulders was 22 and fits great, me being a 220 lbs weight lifter and all
Across the butt part was 21, same thing good fit
butt part to top of seat is 31.5

Head clearance for me is fine, but im only 5'11" or 6 flat.
If i sit straight up my head does rub, but i sit back and have several inches to spare, you can see the headroom. From the butt part of the seat to the roof is 36 inches with the drivers seat back just like it is in the pics, again, sorry about the delay!!!! also please ignore the mess, she is still being put back together! :(

Hahahha! Awesome! How much are these seats again? I'm 5'3!
I was wondering if there were any nice leather seats for the car as mine are kind of worn... but I have to save up for them! Are there many options?
