Ya know i just had an idea. I know its a DSM meet, but what if we also make it an open invite. So us the DSMers will be sponsoring the meet, but also if we go to a track ### then we can show all these other "imports" what were all about! Idk it was a suggestion.

yeah id rather it be us vs. the ricers rather then fighting amoungst ourselves. And or stomping some rednecks v8s. either way itd be sweet. I really would want the cruise to be all dsms and then make a sweet video for you tube.

Look up the new NHRA handbook they change every year.

Ok they are the same for every track because I usually go off the bandimere track ones. Skyrone it like if you run a 13.99 to 12.99 you have you have certain equipment and as you times get lower then you have to have more and more. And I think if you run too fast and not the right equipment then you DQ'd but I'm not sure of that. A video would be cool I've got a friend in a 3G that has a camera and he's allways wanting to film races so he would like to tag along

haha i wouldnt put friend and 3g in the same sentence if i were you... jk haha thatd be cool. as long as his car wasnt in the video ROFL just kiddin. But ic well i have no idea what mine would run. At very best itd be a mid 12 ### i havnt done much to it. But i will just go with that and start getting my car prepared.:thumb:

That would make an awsome video for both Youtube, and DSM Tuners. Ok so what we meet in a central location, and depending on what we do. We either go to the track, or hang, and take a cruise? I'm just trying to get a Idea of whats going to happen. I dont think this all has been discussed before now, so I'm bringing it up.

Yeah we gotta find like a big ass park or parking lot and just hang out and have like a carshow. everybody can just check out each others cars and hang out. Maybe a dsm garage sale and trade. I think there might be a big parking lot right by the strip that we could all set up in. Then we could just go drag as we felt like it. Then later probably hit up some grub at perkins across the street or somewhere else maybe whatever. Then go on an evening cruise. I don't know the town but we will figure out something. Hopefully we can find some long straight flat roads.

Haha we could do both cruise and race. But I messed up he has a 4g. There are some parking lots that are pretty big here in casper I don't remember much about Douglas then we could do what ever the cruise down to Douglas for racing or just meet there

Yeah it might even be less then that but interstate cruising would be sweet. I emailed the guy who runs the douglas strip about what weekend would be good for the meet and rules. I also asked him if we can hang out in the parking lot next to the strip. Hopefully he will email me back soon.

well thats just online. Ive got a friend that will for sure go and my cousin might make the drive from nebraska and he lives in a house of 4 dsms so maybe he'll bring them but idk it wont take long for word to get around but we need to finalize some stuff so we could make an actual for sure bulletin.

Ya I envy u guys that your car is working great right now! No its probly Not going to be in Cheyenne. Me and Dutch are in Laramie so, well meet up with everyone some time or another. FT Collins isnt really that far from here dude like what 45 min.

i've been talking to the guy who runs the strip in douglas and this is what he has said so far. if anybody has anything they want me to ask him let me know

Well, we are by no means expecting the sturgis rally of dsm's. I'm thinking a ball park figure we might get like 50 cars. I wasn't really looking into renting the track, I was more looking for a day that we would qualify to be a part of. To better understand our cars it might be helpful to visit DSMtuners . This site will tell you everything you need to know. I don't think the other people involved would mind being put up against other types of cars. So just let me know what you think we should do, we are still pretty much in the planning process. Thanks, Sky

Sky,

Thanks for considering Douglas Motorsports Park for your club even. If you can give me a little more information as to the number of cars you might expect and what kind of activities you would like to participate in, it would be helpful. Your timing is very good as we are having a Board Of Director meeting this Saturday and we would be able to discuss the options available to your group.

Fitting you in as a special designation class on one of our regular race days might be more fun than you might first think. You would have a great exposure to several other racers of the other classes and a great opportunity to showcase your cars. To rent the track is $3500 per day and is not refundable in the event of rain. This would include the normal starting line crew and ambulance crew and a couple VHT treatments on the racing surface. We will discuss the options this weekend and I'll let you know what could be made available to your group.

Thanks,
Dick Alexander

Hi. Me and some other car enthusiasts are wanting to have a meet there on a weekend that we could use the strip. I believe our cars would fall under sport compacts. Most of them are Mitsubishi Eclipses', Eagle Talons, Plymouth Lasers, and maybe a few other cars. I'm just trying to figure out when would be a good weekend to have it and would we would need to know about safety regulations and what not in order to use the strip. Thanks.
