work with performance cars for a living? whats your story?

So im looking to work with built cars for a living, and Im wondering how you got there? Did you go through a tech school? 4 year college? know somebody that got you the job? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most shops that do "built" car work is pretty low key in Milwaukee. Not big corporations. Get your ASE and get some rep. Build a nice car, start by just getting a job cleaning up the shop. My buddy works at one-sixx tuning. He started by just cleaning up oil spills and now he is a mechanic.
