wont start due to drivetrain?

im looking at getting a 99 gst 5 speed for a VERY good price, an this is what the kid says is wrong

"It makes an annoying noise it sounds like something is catching in the bell housing that is not causing it to start"

was hoping someone on here might have some sort of idea on what this could be?

Why starter gear could be stuck out against the flywheel, you never know.

ah ya i guess, so it does sound like something that could be likely not to crazy expensive to fix.

You never know. I would go look at it ready to do a few test, see if you can figure out what it is and go from there. Or just get it and dive in to the nightmare .

i plan on getting it and driving into the nightmare, if its clutch, flywheel, or started its nothing to crazy to fix,

That's how I got my parts car gst and my gvr4 people didn't know how to fix and was over it .

Could be as simple as shimming the starter.
