I hope to be out late tonight or tomorrow?!?!?! Car is still in the garage getting worked on. Got the turbo out yesterday. Though i had to cut the oil lines to get it off! Good thing i got new lines from the dealer ship. Though couldn't get the line out of the bolt it goes by the oil filter. So i just took the whole bolt out and had Mitsu (Satan) take the line out for me! Got new gaskets today too, so im going to start putting it all back in as soon as my dad comes around! Though i half to go out to a stupid Dinner party for my G/F work. Time will tell i guess!

Next time, give me a call. I got "special tools" for that sort of thing. ;)

God damn't this whole weekend i was with out this site, i was so lost! =( haha.... J/K Well i got the car done in time to make it out Saturday night. Pulls like a muthaF@cka. Unfortunaly something is still wrong, and i think its bad injectors, because everytime i down shift and accelarate. It bogs, i changed the fuel filter, that helped alot. So i believe its a fuel issue. So hopefully i can find a good deal on some 550cc and a fuel pump this week! ZeroF, i seen you on the wash saturday, everytime i turned around you where going the other way!

-Matt

Glad to hear you got the car running. Terry and I were talking about the fuel issue Friday night. The pump and injectors should do the trick.

Mine on the other hand..........

brakes didn't go so good. Everyone neglected to tell me that when you switch to 2 piston AWD front calipers you need to get the mount bracket too. "direct bolt up" they said. Not so. Well live and learn. Not to mention breaking off a caliper bolt. Many bad words and thrown tools later i drilled it out. (glad I do that for a liveing) So I'm closer to haveing the brake mod done. I'll try to post some pics if anyone is interested.

I would like to see pics of the big brake up grade. I'll put pics up of my Turbo swap, got some good pics. My T-25 was so shot, had 2-3in shaft play =) I hope to get new fuel pump this week, and i might just buy some 450 and find out which one in my car is not working and swap it out for now. Cuz im going to half to buy one injector at a time. Every week for a month. The best deal i can find is 80 bucks a piece or 280 for four. Anyone know where to get cheap injectors?

Dude, i know right!

I kept trying to catch up to you, but either i would run into really slow people, or hit EVERY RED LIGHT.

Oh well, ill see it later.

I got my prothane motor mount inserts today, ill probably be putting them in tonight to see if they get rid of this clunking noise when my motor shifts.

Another thing, does anyone know of a good machine/head shop around madison that will hot tank this 1g head i got for cheap.

Zero-
Call Dave at Cambridge Automotive Repair Specialists. They are the ones that did my head, make sure you tell them that Brad sent you. They are the most kick-rump shop around. They replaced all my exhaust valves, valve guides, 3 angle valve job, cleaned and magnafluxed the head, and micropolished my crank for something around $235.
I would have come out to the wash fri/sat night, but I grenaded my rear diff friday night on my way out of Cambridge =( Sooo, if you do take your head to CARS (right on hwy 18 in Cambridge) make sure to say hi to my poor GSX... oh yeah, Cars # is 423-9100, and remember to mention my name, Brad, so they give you a deal. =) HTH!

Thanks, do u know about how much they would charge to take my valves/valve springs out and hot tank the motor?

Matt-
Have you pressure tested the car since you put on the new turbo? It sounds like it could be something as simple as a leak somewhere...
Have you logged it to see what the ECU thinks? I'm _hoping_ my car is fixed by next weekend... if it is then I'll bring my logger up to the wash for you to hook up if you haven't got one... Just let me know =)

That would be cool... I don't have a logger at all =( though i tested my Intercooler for leaks, and my pipes. Sometimes, i can go full red line with it, sometimes not.... I had this problem before I got my new turbo too, though it was far worse. Its not throughing codes or nothing. So im sure its a fuel issue, possiable my pump. It used to make funny noises and now it doesn't( a sign going bad)?

The guys over at midwesthybrid have a 255lph fuel pump for sale, i dont remember how much it is though, im going over there after work today though, ill find out.

Any one have a contact with satin (dealer) I need some 93 eclipse AWD front caliper brackets. Local bone yard came up with nothing.

Brakes are installed except for the new front calipers. Need those brackets.

I had alot of clunking when I hit bumps that I thought was suspension. I had a loose caliper bracket and the rear calipers were so froze up they just rattled around. I still got alot of air in the lines but I can tell that there is a ton more stopping power, Man you can tell the diff. They make a different noise too.:D

:laser:

The local madison dealers don't do anything in the way of discounts. If you can get to Milwaukee then you should hit Renner Mitsubishi on Hwy 100, just a bit north of 94, on the left had side. The number there is 414-258-9980. When you call to order your parts/get a quote tell them to give you the club DSM discount... it usually averages at least 20%.

No prob... I know that Schmidts on the west side has 5 or 6 DSMs, mostly 1G's, and over in watertown theres Jacks Auto Ranch, who also has some DSMs, and is pretty cheap (he quoted me $200 for a whole front clip minus motor)... Schmidt's should be in the phone book, they are pricey and can be jerks, and jacks can be found via google.com, and they are cheap, inbred, and jerks =)

Matt, that Fuel pump was way too expensive at 180 bucks, without an install kit.

I would just order one off the internet.

There were some erroneous negative comments about turbochargers.com here. They were removed because I had my head up my ass when I wrote them, and for some reason was associating mjmturbos.com with turbochargers.com. My apologies to everyone.
