BTW anyone know where i can get a six bolt swap done at in the Wisconsin area. Besides Mid-West hybrid! An someone who has a reliable name. The sooner I find a place the more likly of me being there! My car took a walk on me =( I went to get a price qoute at Satan (i needed something for the bank) $5,676.83 (brand new) . An thats what they get the motor for. They said if it was someone else 6,500 I can buy another car for that much! Someone please help me! Before i push my baby down a hill!

You know, about having this Gathering in the Dells, have you even considered room and board? Has anyone looked to see how much a hotel will cost, what events are going on that weekend in the area, a time line of events for those who can't make it whenever the preset time is? You don't seriously think we're going to want to hang out there all day and spend $10 a ride...?

I vote for Madison. Let's pick one of the parks (somone might have to call and reserve it) and start a fund raiser. The place I work (Oscar Meyer) is really big into catering. For about $200, I can get us all kinds of food. Barbeque, brats, burgers, salads, soups... All kinds of stuff...

If you guys can raise the $$ in the next couple weeks, I will seriously look into arranging a few menu items. Let's also pick a park with a shelter incase it rains and maybe have a fall back date.

Unfortunately, we're already into April and it's kinda too short of notice for people to schedual around.

Very good points. I think that the voluntary food being brought should cover the crowd if everyone brings enough for themselves and maybe one or 2 more we should have it covered. Your right about the lodging, I don;t belive that anyone has looked into that and I am sure tat many people would not be able to afford to hang out at a kart track and blow $50 there. (thats what I spent last time I went)

I am not sure that you need to pay to use a public park but we should contact the city to ensure that someone hasn't already reserved any available shelters which a party can resurve in advance. Or get a permit if nessicary.

So if we try to keep expence down them a park is the way to go. So far there has only been 7 people to respond and dedicate themselves to the meet. (and 2 signifigant others) All have pledged food and drink items. I have a list running.

If anyone else whats to come let me know and I will add you to the list. I am also keeping tabs on the "votes" for location. Given your point about the expence of the kart track I know that as fun as it would be I canged my vote to accomodate those who would not be interested in karting or paying to do it.
