    The old Autometers do look more vintage but I understand you can’t choose gauges for looks. Clean install, and it looks nice sitting next to the Evos. ;)

    Oh yeah, they're not Autometer. They look a lot like the old Autometers I used to have. I really like those.

    I used to run the Z series for a little while because they matched the 1g gauge cluster really well, even the lighting color:

    I wanted to run all the Autometer Cobalt stuff to match my cluster, but the digital ones can be logged and more compact now days.. I might go back one day..

    Do what works man, logging the readings is important. Looks are secondary ;)

    @JayRome I very much liked your old intercooler with the custom, swept end tanks. I'm interested in knowing a few details of the upgrade: was there a volume issue, core issue etc? Just curious as the sharp transitions seem less efficient to me, but I'm no intercooler expert.

    Um basically.. i got.. bored? Ahahha... my other intercooler was just a freeby from a friend, and was fairly aged (paint made it look good) so it was time for an upgrade (thank you ebay sales).

    Design is due to space constraints, but its not as bad as you might think. I spent a few hours with a die grinder to flow out the internals accordingly. It flows better than most that are welded at a 90 as the edges are actually curved inside towards the outlet/inlet. Id say both coolers have the same volume, as the old cooler had empy space doing nothing thanks to my tank design. Now the extra volume is extra cooling fins, so no big loss.

    Its not the greatest, but it will do fine for how i use the car...

    Designs not far off this, if i had the time, id cut it open and add air diverters inside to help more if i was chasing every HP.

    Superchargers are getting harder to find around here, going towards a compoud setup.

    Also the BorgWarner S200's are really cheap these days, so a few ideas being tossed up.

    How ever buying a house soon might stop this for a while, so hopfully I get tuned before that happens :)

    Alloy cover to tie in the 6bolt lower cover. Later model head does not have mounting points below the cam gears for timing cover. So at times the timing cover can flex and touch the cam gears.

    You have some really awesome welding skills man. Wish I could TIG like that. I just drool looking at all your custom Ally parts under the hood and that stainless exhaust tip came out awesome.

    It has been 10 years or so since i installed the reverse head for shits and giggles, was a budget build so reusing valves and springs etc was the go. Probably time I rebuild the head properly.
