So i see everyone always asking 'do i need a camber kit for this drop'. YES just freaking get one, and while your at it make sure you get an alignment. This is why:

About a month and a half ago i decided that i didn't need either one. Now a month and a half later i have lost about 10k miles of tread on 16" tires (can't imagine how bad with 17 or even 18). Why is this? because i never had it aligned so my toe was MESSED up and then i didn't have a camber kit and was -3 degrees. I used the homemade camber kit in the rear with 6 washers and now its in spec and the front is still out .5 degrees negative, after i got the alignment done. I have about a 1.8 inch drop. So heres my point: GET A FREAKING CAMBER KIT AND ALIGNMENT NO MATTER WHAT! thats all.

Negative camber doesn't kill tires. Granted it doesn't HELP treadwear, and will marginally effect your wear on the inside.

But when you lower a DSM's suspension, the toe gets all out of wack. THAT, my friends, will kill a set of tires like a fat chick on some KFC
