i have it looped up from the wastegate acuator , its the turboxs MBC and it is hooked up just like the directions say! please help!:barf:

this is geting on my nerves, i hhoked it up today and i unhooked and unpluged the factory bcs and then hooked the wastegate up right and then the other end to the turbo and got 20 my first run and then anout 13 on another run without changing it man this is messed up.

How is the connection hooked up? 1 to the turbo and 1 to the WG? What BOV do you have?

i just had the same prob with mine. this is what i did.

first, turn the knob all the way out so it barely stays in. the shake it. if it rattles then i'm not sure what to do.

if it doesn't rattle, take the knob out. then pull out the spring and cut some of it off. not sure how much. i'd have to see it to tell you that. now, put the spring back in and put the knob in too. again, tighten the knob so its in but just barely. then shake the mbc again. you should hear the little ball in there rattle now. if not, cut some more off. once you hear it rattle, take it for a spin. this should help.

i did this and it totally worked. my prob was for some reason my wastegate opens at around 12-14 psi. so any restriction makes my boost skyrocket. my be your prob too. good luck.

p.s. you might want to get a new spring before you do this so if it doesnt work you can start over.

i got mine hooked up right. 13 psi.

ok, here i go to help you.

1.Totally disconnect your stock Bcs

2.the bottom of your boost controller to waste gate actuator (use oressure and Vac. hose.

3.side outlet to the small line to your BOV, or even easier to the positive side of you turbo. (mine was a 90 degree nipple, off the lower intercooler pipe)

4. depending on which MBC you have twist the screw UP for more pressure but mine i twisted down on. If this is a new one metal ball should rattle around when loosend.

Hope this works

i had the same problem as well, my boost would spike to 20, so I ran hose from the wastegate to the licp elbow outlet on the turbo, brought boost down to 10 and now creeps to 15, if your boost creeps a little maybe this will work for you, if not then diregard my remark.

First of all, dont follow the directions on the turboxs mbc. Its backwards. You should be connecting the side nipple to the wg act and the bottom nipple to a boost source. The first time I hooked it up, I did the same thing.

ok, we're hooking up a home made mbc on my friends gvr4 yesterday and today. yesterday we coudln't get it over 11 psi (we didn't unhook some of the unneccessary vaccum lines) then today we couldn't get less than 20something psi ( i made him stop when the boost went sky high). so we tried cutting the spring a few times and still the same thing, but i think its still too long. we'll get it loose enough to rattle tomorrow and see if that helps. man this is getting annoying.

one of the things i noticed with my spiking problem was the vaccum lines i got from the shop were too long. i was spiking around 20psi probably becase of the added volume of the lines being too long. i cut the lines to just long enough to work and use the mounting point i already had and now it works fine. i too tried the spring cutting thing, but it didn't work til cut the vaccum lines......just a thought

his vac lines are just long enough, and we still can't get boost below 17-18 psi. if we remove the ball and spring it runs normal 11 psi (we expected this). i think we will just try a softer spring. it was short enough to rattle plenty by the way.
