Hey guys whats up? Just have a questions, my car blows out white smoke in not a HUUUGE amouts but abnormal id say when it idles. I thought it was the cold weather living here in Chicago but even after the car warms up it does it. While I am driving I try to look for it but cant see anything, was wondering is there a problem, or am I just exaggerating. Ive heard the head gasket could be probably blow, cuz my anti freeze in the bottle seems kinda dark...but what other ways can I check for blown head gasket. Thanks.

wow...seems a little complicated but nonetheless I will try to get to trying it, goign to give it a little time, I live in Chicago and its colder than a witches titty right now brrrrrrrrr thanks though

Compression checks may seem complicated at first but do it a couple of times and youll be glad you did! also check the white smoke again and make sure it is just white because sometimes there is a blue-ish tint that is really hard to see. good luck!

I assume you are turbo, so remove an intercooler hose close to the turbo and check for oil coating the hose. If so, the oil is blowing by the shaft seals at the turbo. I have found the same problem with my '91. The smoke is only visible during idle. Something to try though, is, at night, try to drive under full boost with a vehicle right behind you. Easily done on a freeway on-ramp. Watch the rearveiw and see if the headlights behind you seem to fog over. That is how I first noticed that mine was smoking...You can find more info about how to fix it at the Forced Perfomance website.
