where can I get a carbide bit

E-Bay for both. Grinding stones suck if you want to take out alot of metal.

I was getting my ass kicked trying to port my ex.man. with those stone bits. Much easier with the "carbide" bits. If you have a Nothern Tool & Equip. around check those guys out, I went everywhere in search for bits and that's where I ended up.

harbor freight has them for cheap. Or a REAL hardware store should have them(not home depot racing).

if you have an air compressor and no die grinder yet..craftsman sells a die grinder kit with 6 or 7 carbide bits included..its kinda expesive but the bits are super nice and come in lots of different shapes so you can do exactly what you want

i was gonna get he part # but the craftsman site isnt working..im not sure if you can buy the bits separate but i dont think you can
