Why not a 26" you gain more mph! :)

And your ODO shows less haha

Justin lost trap speed with his combo on the 26s.

As far as the 60fts improving with the same tire on a wider wheel, you will still have the same mass of material in the sidewall to absorb shock. As I understand it, the wider wheel is assisting stability across the contact patch on the hit and this has the side effect of improving straight line tracking on the back half.

You cant run a 24.5" tire with an auto trans if you are trapping over 140. You'll run out of RPM. I go through the traps at 8900 or so trapping 146 with a 26".

I ended up fitting 15X10 with a 5 inch back space, the front of the car has flared guards.
Anyone running traction bars?I'm thinking of making a set up.(not wheelie bars)

You deff. Want some sidewall im running 225/45 -17 and they are not cutting it ..

Hey justin if you ever come across another set of rear skinnies hit me up

Hit me up dude 775-848-5934. I have the summit skinny wheels I just pulled off my car. I can get you the new M&Hs if that's what ya want.

I did lose MPH and ET with the taller tire. Even the gear ratio calculator predicted that. My numbers are spot on in my logs as they are with the calculator. I can match the time slip, the calculator, and my logs to help. The 24.5" combo yielded the best results all the way around on paper. In my case on a lower HP setup it gave my best results at the track to. Ill be able to compare to the more power I ran to very soon.

Only issue with 24.5 is we need all the width we can get and some of us are limited to the 8.5" width unless we can go 13" wheels then we can get the 9.5 wide option.

Truth here. I don't think Id run anything under a 26" unless its a very low Hp, low rpm setup that wont break the trans shifting into OD. Bigger power cars do need to jump up to a 27" or in kigglys case a 28" slick because of the auto ratio.

What calculator do you use?

Loving the way you motor looks. I wanna pull mine and clean it replace old parts that I havent been able to get to with newer ones.

Thanks again! It's gunmetal grey and I cleaned up the valve cover really good, it took 2 hours of sanding but it's the first thing people notice when they open the hood. I even painted my block gunmetal grey, its dark enough to hide dirt but still has a tasteful color.

I haven't got to race either!! :( they have been repaving the track for about a year now LOL. They keep saying different dates when they will be done. Now its by June but we will see, I doubt it LOL. I've been working with the navy base to get permission to hold autocross on the base ramp area. And so far things are going great and we possible will have a first race April 27th!! Should be pretty sick and have a lot of cool cars coming to race, I'll be running the gvr4 and eclipse! I also have permission to hold another event later in the year around September. Anyway not being able to race sucks LOL I miss it!! So hopfully we get something soon or I'll have to buy a car in Chitown and come race with you all!!
