well.... i'm currently looking for an AWD chassis for a drag build but have only come across really clean FWD cars. You guys have me considering just grabbing a GST a little. Anyone run an AT FWD drag car? How's the FWD AT tranny?

Congrats on all the 10sec passes in a FWD car. It's really insane.

Checking in got a new setup jumped from a evoIII 16g to a 58.5mm GTX variant. 16g was at 30psi and it killed traction for 1st and 2nd. meth injection btw.

At 25psi the gtx was nice and linear. even 2nd was ok in a straight line. i'll let you know how 30psi on the gtx feels. logs. gets traction. and if the stock trans and longblock can handle it.

Hopefully the loss of traction will protect the trans from too much stress.

The auto FWD trans has the same internals as the AWD trans. They work very well. with a 5 speed my best time was 10.9@140. I swapped to auto same setup and went 10.2@141 with more to go.

Here's my FWD. Best ET so far 10.52 @ 134. In the process of reworking my fuel system and taking out even more weight. She sits a 1975 lbs. W/O driver and hoping to get her down another 50 lbs.

Its winter here 2-3 months left ...But ordered some stuff
hx35 turbo ( will be porting/ and the mani also)
REAL Turbonetics T3 Cast Exhaust Manifold external wg on runner 4
rc 1600cc injectors

still trying to find out what size slicks i need ( i have a set of 15" those stock winter rims have a set of light weight 16" and 17" rims) not sure of offset stuff

Gutting the whole interior tossing in a bucket seat , and removing the power steering and looping it ..
may also go with some race gas and of course a good tune :hellyeah:

What up man!! I've got a couple more changes I'm doin on the 14b before I yank it off. Was suppose to go this up coming weekend for the winter warm up. We are stuck home caring for one of our animals. But I do have all sacs dates set and we will be over there a lot this year.

I am going to continue working on the car and take my first trips to a local dyno. I'm kinda excited to see what this lil turbo lays down.

How's your fwd treating you?

Ya I saw the thing about the car getting smashed. Sucks that happened. I'm really looking forward to this year and seeing all you guys at the track. You gonna need a full slick??

The 93-96 mirage 1.8 mounts like a 2G. I modified the rear crossmember to utilize the 1G style rear motor mount bracket and also modified the crossbrace to utilize the 1G style front motor mount bracket.

Good to know. So basically it bolts up to the trans.

Nice Ive been waiting to see this thing in action! I love your build its so clean. You have no problem passing me up with your setup. Did you do any full pulls before you lost pressure?
