At what point would it be necessary to install an upgraded fuel pump? If I get a walbro 255 hp fuel pump do I have to get an AFPR? If I don't will it overrun the stock FPR? Sorry for so many questions but I found one for a great price and want to know if it's something I should get. I really don't need it right now but I'm planning ahead. :)

Any time you turn up the boos from stock is time for a fuel pump. Also do the rewire. I have the walbro 255 and it is overrunning my stock fpr. Definately get an aftermarket fpr if you go with the 255, that's next on my list.

i have to disagree with you on that one.. you dont need an upgraded fuel pump to turn up the boost on a T25.. hell some people run the stock pump rewired with larger turbos.. anyhow Id say the time to get the upgraded fuel pump would be when you upgrade the turbo and injectors and yes you will overrun yer stock FPR with the 255..

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to buy it now and hold on to it until I need it! :D

i was running stock pump with bigger turbo, till i bought the Walbro the car did fine.

some say that the 1g's run lean from the factory, others (myself included) believe that the rewire is okay for a few more psi without to many supporting mods...
any sort of aftermarket pump i've seen does overrun the fpr, its cheap and easy to throw one on their that won't be overrun (my buddy uses a b&m fpr and gauge with a walbro 255hp on his galant vr4, runs great, now we are waiting for the 680cc's to get here).
the rewire does help alot, if i'd get off my duff here i have a link from roadraceengineering.com that explains the differences from 1g and 2g pumps, voltage vs. flow, walbro's (the 255 and the 255hp), denso pumps, and i even think the supra fuel pump is even in their.
imo the pump is a nice thing to have, and can easily be forgotten about later on in your moding carreer.
but what do i know, i own a crankwalked 1g
