That is the model number. I'm not aware of a 5252re the turbo I mentioned is part number 6052re. It may be a older model or may have had a new compressor housing put on for some reason and information was transferred wrong. It looks like a precision turbo though only other way I can think of to identify it is to break it open take a closer look and possibly some measurements.

When I bought my engine from a guy, he gave me a turbo with it, just trying to identify it, but I have little experience with dsm's so I could use some help, It also says Garrett
thanks, Sleeper1ga

Aside from the engraving, it looks just like a tdo6 20g compressor cover from turbo lab. Perhaps whoever built the turbo engraved their initials. I have the same one and so far it seems to be an excellent quality part.

I built it initially, so it's definitely a MHI turbo...but it appears to have had a rough life since then. Wastegate actuator's missing, someone installed an unported 2G o2 housing on an Evo III turbine housing which is a no-no, and then the professional (LOL) JB Weld job on the oil drain.

It's a TD05H turbine...you can't machine MHI Evo III turbine housings for anything larger than a TD05H turbine wheels.

I always though I had a BB 50 trim turbo. Looking at pictures of t04e 50 trim compressors, I see 6 blades. My turbo has a 7 blade compressor. The CHRA has "Garrett Allied signal 700177-5010" on the stamp. It is a ball bearing unit, with a dsm bolt on turbine housing. Any ideas on what turbo this actually is?

Pretty sure it's an older gt3076.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at gt3076 wheels, and all i could find are 6 blade wheels. A search on here and google did come up with a turbo called Slowboy racing GT11, which where 7 blade, ball bearing bolt on housing turbos. Not sure if thats what I have, since not much info can be found on the gt11 turbo.

Hey, I found this turbo today at the salvage yard by accident. Since there was no shaft play that I could feel, I decided to buy it (only $50). It came from a Volvo sedan that couldn't have been older than 2000. Didn't even think about checking year and model until after I had left :ohdamn:
Are you able to identify it for me?

If you need better pictures or a picture of a specific spot, just let me know and I'll post it.

That is Gm5 type turbo that came on a chevy or gmc 6.5 diesel. I ran that turbo on my 2.3 ford with good results but have not ran it on a dsm.
