was up guys i cant choose witch one to go with on my 6 bolt block. i know the 1g has bigger ports to start with. only mod ill be doing to my head is revised lifters and 272's. im thinking of staying with my 2g head and just getting it a rebuild or should i just go ahead and get a new 1g head.

plus i heard it takes alot of work to fit a 2g head on a 6 bolt block.

anyone have any input they could give me, im looking for people who have done this already thanks.

Why would you even consider puting a 7bolt head on a 6bolt block???

6bolt has biger ports like you said, biger valves (or so im told) and bolts right up a little easier.

1g head all the way, get a valve job done on it first though (im assuming its used) and have then check to make sure its nice and straight... it sucks finding out later when you have water in your oil and oil in your watter and have to go on a killing spree at the local mall...

yes im interested send me a pm, ya i think ill just got with a 1g head then. in the long run it will be better sense over summer im putting a 6 bolt in. i just have to take my magnus manifold back and get it for a 1g now. :thumb:

it is a 7 bolt but i though the 94 still had the 1g head i mite be wrong, ill have to look into that.

ok thats what i though.

i have another ? i just picked up my thermastate housing, upipe, waterline that runs accros the block and coil pack today what else do i need to install a 1g head on my 7 bolt for now. and is ther anything big i have to do such as making holes bigger because i know to put a 2g head on a 6 bolt u need to open the holes to 12mm to fit the 6 bolt head studs is there anything like this that has to be done.

i know about the cam angle sensor but im confused because on a 97 and up i guess you could keep it. ive done this with my old 95 and it was easier to figure out the things. thanks jim
