I just want to know what yawl read. I am comming from a Honda background, and I know that honda tuning was what we all read... you know, it stayed away from the rice. But is the are DSM tuning? I guess not. I have 1 issue of Modified, and it featured 2 DSM, so is that as good as it gets? :talon:

i normally pic up Grassroots Motorsports mag. , turbo mag, and sport compact car

I like both Turbo and Modified.

Especially the AMS Evo in this month's Modified....sick looking car.

I like Sport Compact Car mostly. They seem to be the most 'serious', concentrating the most on performance and don't really feature too much super ricey stuff.

Lately i've been leaning towards Modified Mag. In the past, they've been more about looks, but they lately they seem to be featuring cars that have performance and looks and I like their writing style. It's more "fun" than SCC's. I also like their photos.

Sometimes I pick up Super Street if i'm bored. The staff seems to just goof off and sometimes I like to read that kind of stuff.. most of the cars they feature don't really do much for me though.

One mag I pretty much stay away from Import Tuner, it's a waste of paper.

Performance Auto & Sound magazine, a super thick mag from Canada that covers everything. Tuning, show, car audio, drag, mini trucks, really, everything. Each issue is usually around 250-300 pages I think. They sell it at Tower Records.

Umm the mags I get that have Porn Stars on the cover dont have cars in them.... ;)

So it sounds like i need to go subscibe to Turbo and Modified.

Turbo and Sport Compact Car, hands down the best mags.

Modified mag and Super Street.

Sometimes...Honda Tuning.

Modified Here.

Martin here at AMS actually wrote a 3 issue run about modifying the EVO VIII. Since then they have added him on staff as a tech writer.

And yes if you guys get a chance check out the january issue of modified mag. Arne (Co Owner) of AMS has this candy Brandy Wine EVO in it. they make AMS to look like a bunch of hoods but its a great Read LOL.

Mostly superstreet.....love all the shop and circuit cars they feature, and it gives me a few laughs.
Trashed turbo mag after i realized they'd actually copy and paste articles from previous issues into new ones, including editing mistakes! Started getting it in 2000 and every month its gotten lighter and lighter. :thumbdown

Forgot why i stopped reading sport compact.

This thread seems to come up often... But I subscribe to all but HCI, Honda Tuning, Nopi.

I guess this is slightly off topic, I have that mag and that EVO is badass (could do without the chrome rims though), and yeah, the article makes it seem like someone's going to have me eliminated since I just made that comment about the rims.

Yeah I like that magazine espcecially because it shows stuff done and written by midwest shops liek ams, most other magazines its like 80% some orange county rich kid got his car done at some orange county shop and the other 20% is east cost. And becasue modified is the only magazine that has a project dsm, which I think is uber cool. Props on that evo, ya hoodlums.

Yeah, speaking of writing some articles for EVO tuning, Martin still owes me a few for our EVOtuners.net site - he wrote one, but that was it. What's up with that?

Oh I know they do. I just dont buy those type of car mags. I'll look at them on the Mag rack but dont buy them. I rather see Charmane Star In a full blown porn mag instead.

:D
