What do you know about a nissan silvia?

Ok, so i find out that one of these is running around town lookin to run some cars. Just wondering if I should take the Talon or bring out the Stang. What kind of times do these things run. They are only stock 200hp right? RWD? This one is right hand drive if that matters any. Not sure of what year the car is though. Any help would be appreciated.

they can range anywhere from 220HP to 250HP depending if they have the SR20DET redtop or blacktop. Just like DSM they do VERY WELL with basic bolt ons so which ever car is faster is the one i would take

Is it right hand drive or left hand drive? Just like DSMspyder said those cars can be very quick for little money. Also remember that they are also pretty light weight too I think 2500lbs give or take.

very nice cars, most here in the states come with the Ka motor, if you can get the sr20det not a bad car to spend money on

yea i dont know much about them but i do know if someone is going to cough up the jack to get a RHD JDM Silvia, they probly aren't intending to keep it stock. I'd pla it safe and hunt him down in ur stang

Thanks guys........looks like I will have to break out the stang. Was hoping to take him out in the Talon but guess not. I also found out that it has a front mount intercooler,but I dont know if they come stock with one or not. Anyone know what they run? I'm thinking with weight and Hp + RWD should=high 13's.

they run low 14's high 13's stock and they really wont get much faster then low 12's high 11's

as per my sig:

94 GT 347 stroker with some nitrous all the usuall goodies.....11's @ 118-120mph on drag radials But would really like to race his import with mine. How about some race gas and say 20psi on my 16g? Keep in mind I have no fuel mods on the talon. But have heard of many people running that kind of boost without them.

for shits and giggles take the talon. one of my buddies did the sr20 swap to his 240 and honestly in stock form i dont think they are all that fast. it would be cool to do 2.0L turbo vs 2.0L turbo and see who comes out on top. 20psi on your 16g with stock fuel will be a bit lean, however, back in the day i ran 20psi on the 17c i used to have. just be careful and keep an eye on fast spiking egt's if you have an egt gauge.

I think I am gonna take your advice and try and do it with the talon. I figure even if he has some mods maybe he has 270-300hp on motor. My talon with all my mods has to have at least 250. So if he has 30-50 more hp thats not too much. I will take 30 less hp and AWD any day. I run a RWD car so I know how hard it is to launch one. I will let ya'll know how it turns out. I hate bench racing and this is slowly but surely getting there . Thanks for all your help.
