I'd like to know what the 4-2-1 pacesetters sound like on the 420a, with a catback is preferred but with just a muffle is acceptable. I just found a crazy deal that I might just take given that the sound of these isn't shitty or ricey.
As my thread says.. if you have a digital camera to record the sound of the 420a with some pacesetter 4-2-1s I'd like to hear it.
Btw, I'm not looking for responses like "it sounds deeper/louder".. that does nothing for me.. Actual video with sound is what I am looking for.. and I know of a few other people who want to know what these sound like too.
I understand the different catbacks can effect the sound and wont give me a completely accurate result but at least I can get an idea.

don't do it, I'd rather keep stock vs pacesetter, yes it does sound very good I have a set on my 2gnt with a 3inch exhaust, sounds very deep non ricey but the headers end up cracking and turns to a burnt rusty look after a few months and looks like a used baby diaper, exhaust leaks FTL.

ive had good luck with ebay headers even though no body likes them the welds are decent the finish lasts for a while it usually turnsa a burnt blue color in like a day or 2 but it doenst peel or flake pace setter is GARBAGE

Geh... looks like no on the pacesetters then.. thanks for the input.. I'll wait for my DCs from a member on here.

I'll agree...don't go with the pacesetter they don,t flow that good and they crack pretty fast... my friend had the pacesetter in the chrome finish.. It went from chrome, to gold, to blueish which is still ok...but then start rusting and even if he painted it a couple times...it always came back on surface

Do some searching on 2gnt. Most people will agree that Pacesetter is a decent header and best option for the price range.

Although they may not have the most exposure to turbocharged cars and how Pacesetters don't live with them.

Header and Turbo Manifold are 2 different things. The pacesetter headers aren't bad, bullettdsm I believe used one for a long time on his NA with no problems until he went for equal length or whatever. Sorry Mark, I have a bad memory :coy:

Pacesetter is crap I got a pacesetter turbo manifold for my 4g63 and it looked pretty good from the outside but on the inside there were jagged pipe edges from sloppy cuts sticking out passed the collector. I never used it. A friend bought it from me and put it on his talon. Within a few months the ceramic coat was chipping, the pipe was rusting and the welds around the collector cracked. I know a NA might not crack as bad or at all but the quality still sucks.

Again people, this is the NA section. If you don't have experience with a Pacesetter header for a 420a, keep your comments to yourself.
