I have a little churrin so I get a shit ton back every year. We file super early so the tax return hit in like late Feb/very early march and it’s long since been spent. Lol.

Got an FP Green, and a few other things. Paid for said kiddos dental work too.

Well, the title pretty much states all of the context of this thread. Just curious what other people do around taxmas time!

I put away the majority of my return then went and got me the following as a, "I've worked my ass off this year bonus".

Used it to set me halfway right because Illinois has f***ed up my property taxes for the last 6 years and finally got it right. Now have to wait for the mortgage company to catch up and cut me a check for the massive amount of escrow overpayment due to them thinking they are going to have to pay 5x the annual property tax amount this year.

I owed MORE taxes but I don't let the government keep my $. I claim Married and 2 kids so they don't deduct much. I take $500 a month and put it into an account that draws 1%, maybe, but still, I have ACCESS to all of that $6000 all year long until April 15th.
If I find a car and want to flip it for profit, I have CASH. My hot water heater went out this last summer and I had $ to buy a new one. Granted, I had to pay the account back, but I didn't have to go get a personal loan for it.
I am definitely different.

Can't even really remember. I know I still have like 1/3rd of it in savings though. I know some of it went to car parts, but the vast majority went to food/drinks/splurging on whatever groceries the family wanted.

I was gonna use almost all of it for a GVR4 but thankfully that didn't pan out. Way too much of a project.
