Hello, wonder if anyone can help, recently notice a weird noise that happens when i turn on the ignition, not sure how to describe it, definitely sounds like a moving part turning or starting, ive made an audio clip, audioble at about 5 secs of the clip, please see the links bellow:

Thanks

It's the IAC (idle air control) motor doing a recalibrate which always happens when you turn on the ignition.
Thanks for you reply.
That makes sense, however i did not hear this before, could it be that the part its on its way out?

Unlikely. It doesn't always do that for some reason (or it's so short you don't hear it). But that noise is the normal operation at key on time. Watch this: https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/d...-iac-valve-to-you-guys.527543/#post-153754341
Thank you for response. Meanwhile ive owned the car for over 10 years, i know every sound that it does and never heard this before until recently, which leads me to think that is something not 100% right with some part... could it be wear of lack of lubrification on that component?

If your idle works properly I wouldn't worry about it unless it never stops when key is turned on. But if it brothers you so much you can take it apart and clean it. I did that to mine which helped a little (still does it but shorter).

Will try to clean it...some wd-40 and a moist cloth should do trick yeah?
