Ok I ran into a little trouble the other day. I was up in reno and I was just cruising around and I had stopped my car and turned it off to talk to my friends. Well I started it back up and drove like 4 seconds and noticed a mass amount of smoke behind me. I imediatly shut the car off and checked the oil, dry. So I threw a quart in and drove home. The next day I got my oil changed and this morning I let it run to see about my gas leak (another thread). I noticed black splatter on my driveway. Looks like water that just picked up crud when it was coming out the tail pipe. Now my queston is, what could this be? My friend said head gasket but my cars temp never rises over the half way mark on the factory gauge. Im puzzled. Please if you have any info let me know. Thanks.....

gas+air=c02+h20 (among other things)

no big deal, we all spit water out the back. In fact, my gargage door has a basketball sized black stain on it from cranking the car repeatedly.

Mine too but it's from using MCCC. :)

Libila, Unless your eating coolant or find oil in it your HG is likely ok.
If adding a quart of oil made it register on the dipstick you were't dry. I've been a quart low once or twice and it still runs strong.

That means that your catalytic converter is working properly. You see, the catalytic converter has little like salt pellets in it that turns the exhaust cleaner and sometimes makes water come out.

Yea im not worried about it now because I think I figured it out. My car didnt come with a muffler and I welded a piece i pipe with dual tips just so I didnt have exhaust leaking in my cabin. Now I know that exhaust creates a vapor and some mufflers have a vapor dump. Since mine doesnt I am just pushing all the water and crap all the way through. I also figured out my other problem that would also explain the real dirty water. One of my fuel injectors was like poped out and was spilling fuel everywhere. So I put it back in a wala, check engine light off. I am thinking that the computer was trying to compinsate for the lost fuel and my car was running rich so that would explain the ecess burned fuel coming out of the tail pipe. Thanks for your help guys!
