Hi I just dropped my tank for some welding I gotta take care of and I was gonna drop in a 190lph that I got used but I just noticed that the connector piece was missing and I cant wait days for and install kit to get in. So my question is "Would it be fine to just use some connectors and seal if with some RVT? would it hold against gasoline? Thanks.

The wires in the tank for the pump aren't insulated/sealed from the gas. The gas itself isn't conductive.
So you could crimp on some spade connectors, attach then to the pump and be good. Later then you get the Walbro connector you can pull the pump out and reconnect it.

OMG I didnt know gas was not conductive, and the reason I asked was that the positive wires have sealed boots on them. Well I guess if gas was conductive then it would ignite, right? or would it? Anyways thanks for the info and fast response.

if you dont feel comfortable doing it, you should maybe have someone with electrical background do it. this could be potentially bad news if you dont know what youre doing. be careful :hellyeah:

Think about it....you have an electrical fuel pump in your fuel tank. ;) Gasoline in it's liquid form is not as conductive as hollywood movies make it out to be. Hell it has to be compressed into a gaseous state in your cylinders for it to ignite. ;)

Is the fitment of this pump right? or is it to high? from my understanding the fuel line cannot be bent so this is the only way to make it straight. Any opinions welcome

I believe the install kit comes with a new rubber base which matches the Walbro pump/filter thus allowing it to seat properly. As long as you can get a good seal between the pump's "fuel out" nipple and the housing's hard line you should be o.k. In the meantime you may want to put a worm gear clamp around the pump body and housing bracket (in addition to the bend tabs) for peace of mind. Until you get the install kit.

Just for the record, the liquid gasoline expands into a gas/vapor before being ignited.;):)

Gasoline needs to be atomized (turned gaseous with the correct a/f ratio) to become flammable. A few singed hairs as a kid taught me that.
