Guys, I'm very sorry I didn't ever see the replies to this thread and failed to update it! I ended up pulling my fuel pump assembly and got some pics to follow up. The Toyota seal completely fixed my issue! Yayy!
Also, DEFINITELY do the fuel siphon mod with this install!
Pics for anyone who needs them:
Don't mind the loose siphon mechanism with the exposed o-ring as I was getting ready to remove it and then snapped this pic.
Close up of the shims:
Hope this helps guys
So I just read another thread stating that the seal needs to be kept in place with something or it'll blow out under high pressure. I actually ended up using a bunch of viton O-rings as a shim to keep the damn Toyota seal in place! Did not wanna have to take the dang fuel pump assembly out again under any circumstances since I hate doing it . There is no way the seal will move under high fuel pressure this way3a. Use Toyota/EVO O-ring/Seal; Toyota Part#: 23239-21010 or Mitsu Part#: MR431121
3a1. Only this seal will be used on nipple in the green circle when installing back into the housing?
