Gray or Silver Gray Decals: Which Color Did Your Car Use?

Gray:
You must be logged in to view this image or video.

(Note that the "H" is not supposed to be broken. I haven't restored this yet. 🙂)

Silver Gray:
You must be logged in to view this image or video.

(Note: the dark outline is dirt, and not part of the decal. This car was at an auto recycler. 🙂 )

The following list was spot checked, but may not be accurate for every car. A dealership should be able to identify the correct decals for your exact car off of your VIN.

Note: This is an incomplete list.

Paint Code - Color Name - Decal Color
W12 - Northstar White - Silver Gray
A57 - Minden Silver Pearl - Silver Gray
R87 - Saronno Red - Gray
X13 - Kalapana Black - Gray
G56 - Monarch Green Pearl - Gray
G36 - Everett Green Metallic - Gray
A87 - Magenta Gray Metallic - Gray
P75 - Barcelona Red Pearl - Gray

If you would like to support your dsm "vendor" community instead of a dealership, there are also a couple members here that cut and make these as well. Just a second option.

It's also worth noting that most, if not all, of these emblems and decals are discontinued and can be very difficult to find as new old stock. When restoring the emblems/decals, If accuracy is important, here is some additional information:
  • The original decals (A & C) are printed on a clear sticker and are not cut vinyl.
  • The front bumper three-diamond emblem is embossed and mounts into a similarly shaped recess in the OEM bumper.
  • The Eclipse lettering (B) is comprised of chrome-finished individual letters and is not a decal.
  • The Spyder lettering is made up of individual letters and is not a decal.

The 2GB (1997-1999) front bumper three-diamond emblem is embossed and mounts into a similarly shaped recess in the OEM bumper. I am not sure about the 2GA version.

The Eclipse lettering (B) is comprised of chrome-finished individual letters and is not a decal.

The Spyder lettering is made up of individual letters and is not a decal.
The original bumper cover on my ‘95 had an embossed impression for a diamond star, but the aftermarket bumper that replaced it does not.

I'm the one who makes the MITSU/GSX/GST Replica decals on Ebay.

I brought in brand new originals that I have and had them replicated as close as possible.

All of the trunk decals are discontinued and you will not find them anymore unfortunately. I took the measurements that were posted above ^.

You cannot find the following anywhere online, I've been browsing a few oversea sites for years for them to pop up, seems that will not happen!

RS
Gray: MR716498
Silver Gray: MR716499

GS
Gray: MR716500
Silver Gray: MR716501

GS-T
Gray: MR716502
Silver Gray: MR716503

GSX
Gray: MR716504
Silver Gray: MR716505

"Mitsubishi" Decal:
Gray: MR716496
Silver Gray: MR716497

Does anybody make the Eclipse lettering (part MB882512) for the center tail section? Maybe somebody that has a 3D printer can do these? I think eventually I would like to replace mine. It doesn't even have to be chrome.
