Valve Locks?

Hi all i did a search but didnt come up with much. Does anyone sell lightweight valve locks? Thanks

You mean valve keepers, for the engine valves? I'm sure Crane, Crower or any of dozens of camshaft manfacturers could set you up with some titanium ones, but.... why? It's a very teensy part of the reciprocating weight of the valves, and float really isn't an issue on DSMs.

Yea valve keepers are the last thing to worry about. I dont know if anyone is actually using upgraded keepers. Worry about valvesprings and retainers!

I asked Crower a few months back, they said the stock are fine and he didnt know of any aftermarket ones.

ahh ok this is good to know. Im not so worryed about weight. i was worryed abot a valve walking on the lock. Ive seen it happen on SBC heads and figuered id rather be safe than sorry. but if the stockers are proven ill just throw them in there. I thought sumthing was up when my searched turned up 0 post on the subject. thansk for the info.

What I did was get a set of new valve locks from Mitsu. Dont know if new ones were necessary, but I wanted to be safe.
