To keep a long story short I let my girlfriend use my car for a weekend so she can go to her friends school for a concert. (I know bad idea) Anyways. I get the car back today about 15 minutes ago and went for a ride to see if everything is alright. My car now has a noise that sounds like this URRRRRRRRRRRRRR when you say it outloud. Its a pretty loud noise and it goes away when the car hits about 2300-2500 rpms. I took the timing belt cover off to see if it was rubbing on it and it wasnt but it seemed like the noise is coming from that region. All fluids are fine in the car. I just did tranny fluid but it wont be that. If anyone has any ideas what this could possibly be or any suggestions please let me know because I have no idea myself.

I just talked to Joe P and he said that it is most definitely the tensioner. So if anyone else has this problem The tensioner is probably the cause.

yeah thats what i think it is. if u need one i have one i will sell u. i don't know a price yet. pm me

mine does that too, except mine sounds bad when just revving it up while not moving or if I go above 3500 rpms while driving. i'll have to have someone check the tensioner, let me know if that works for you
