Turbo Help

I have a 97 gst. Thinking about buying a stock turbo off of a 1g gst 5 speed eclipse. I had a 300zx n/a before this about 2 weeks ago so ion know too much about these cars yet. It is my understanding that the stock turbo is a td05 or a td05h ion know which one right? And then I guess there is a 14b on some and another on others (stock)? But then I heard that automatics have a smaller turbo or something. Can someone please help me out and tell me exactly what the specs on the stock turbo for car i mentioned above would be? I mean is it td05 or td05h? 14b or 16g? Will it bolt onto a 2g without any other mods or will i need a kit? HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLP!!!!!

no DSM came with a 16g stock. EVO VIII comes with 16g iirc.

I think your talking about the 14b which came on 1g manual cars while the 1g automatics came with a 13b. If you plan on upgrading your turbo to a 14b or a 16g your going to need an install kit because the 14b uses different coolant and oil lines, you can find the install kit from most of the vendors that sponsor the site.

I went and bought the 14b turbo tonight. Anyone have a walk through on how to install it, parts I will need, etc...I was told by one that I dont need any kit or anything at all to do the upgrade to 14b. If this is false who sells a kit for the upgrade and are there any walk throughs?
